The digital frontier: Leveraging e-information resources at academic libraries
Historically, academic libraries were viewed as institutions that developed the intellectual foundation of society by preserving resources and providing them in a structured manner to users who could actively benefit from these resources. Currently, with the dawn of advanced technology, society is transitioning from a traditional knowledge society to a modern one. To stay ranged with the contemporary knowledge society, academic libraries have started fit in advanced technology into their everyday operations. Currently, library digitization has become integral to the responsibilities of librarians, serving as a tool for enhancing the academic environment of all educational institutions. E-information resources have taken the lead by providing a diverse range of information to the users of academic libraries. The primary aim of this research is to identify the advantages of utilizing e-information resources & the difficulties encountered with these e-resources in academic libraries. An effort has likewise been undertaken to identify the types of e-resources in academic libraries, their origins, and the skills needed to utilize them.
