Robust and secure systems for audio signals
Abstract Audio steganography is considered a crucial technique for bolstering information security. It is used to hide sensitive data within an audio signal. This paper presents two robust techniques for audio steganography, which embed secret images within the audio signal by initially converting the image into a 1D signal. The first technique combines audio enhancement using adaptive Wiener filtering and audio steganography. The second technique depends on image encryption using the Henon chaotic map as a secure initial stage before the image hiding process. The proposed techniques allow more secure communication and enhance the output stego-audio signal. The concealment process is mainly focused on the high-frequency coefficients of the audio envelope. Preserving the output stego-audio signal quality and guaranteeing image retrieval are the main objectives. The results demonstrate that the proposed techniques effectively achieve secure information concealment and improve the output stego-audio quality at various signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs).
