A Case Study on Integrating Cultural Identities Into Professional Identity

ABSTRACT This case study examines how a structured workshop series centering ethnic and cultural identity integration influenced the professional identity development (PID) of counselors‐in‐training (CITs). The workshop series was grounded in transformational learning and cultural wealth frameworks. The study highlights how solidarity, cultural integration, and advocacy emerged through reflective and experiential practices. Findings suggest that intentional spaces centering ethnic and cultural identities can foster belonging and authenticity in PID among CITs from historically marginalized backgrounds.
