Treatment Of Gingival Recession Using Coronally Advanced Flap With Titanium Prepared Platelet Rich Fibrin (T-Prf): A Case Report

Gingival recession is defined as the exposure of the root surface by an apical shift in position of the marginal gingiva. The coronally advanced flap (CAF) procedure is a very common approach for root coverage. This procedure is based on the coronal shift of the soft tissues on the exposed root surface. This approach maybe used in combination of platelet rich fibrin. Titanium Activated PRF (T-PRF) is a 3rd generation platelet concentrate developed by Tunali et al. that helps in regeneration of tissue. T-PRF plays an important role in increasing soft tissue thickness. It produces faster epithelization, less postoperative bleeding, and better wound healing than spontaneous healing.
