Strategies for Improving the Quality of Secondary-School Ideological and Political Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

In the context of a new industrial revolution driven by artificial intelligence, research on empowering secondary-school ideological and political education with AI is gaining momentum. Only by examining the new changes and challenges that secondary school ideological and political education faces in the AI era — and proposing corresponding strategies based on practical needs — can we infuse future secondary school ideological and political education with new vitality. This paper begins by analyzing the intrinsic connection between the development of artificial intelligence and ideological and political education. It then explores the opportunities, challenges, and countermeasures of AI-empowered secondary-school ideological and political education. The opportunities lie in innovating teaching models, expanding educational boundaries, and using data analysis to support precise instruction. The challenges include data security and privacy protection, the alienation of the role of ideological and political educators, and the diminishing of humanistic care. In response, the proposed strategies emphasize upholding the principle of educator-led instruction, strengthening institutional development, and promoting the integration of artificial intelligence with humanistic values.
