ACOUNTING METHODOLOGY OF THE SIGHT ERRORS FOR COMBAT VEHICLE SURVIVABILITY INCREASING
The article is devoted to increasing the reliability and accuracy of aiming weapons installed on board a combat vehicle and equipped with automated means of calculating the position of the aiming mark, which is formed using a collimation sight. To ensure reliability, the sight design should be as simple as possible and not contain complex lenses. The best options in such a situation are the use of lenses based on doublets or a thick single lens. At the same time, the known methods of firing a combat vehicle do not take into account the fact that the computer-integrated collimation sighting device is inherent in errors in the formation of the sighting line, due to the final aberrations of the lens. This leads to the fact that with an arbitrary position of the eye within the exit pupil of the sighting device during the observation of the aiming mark at the angles of sighting, its collimated image changes its angular position relative to the distant target. Under typical operating conditions at a range of 1000 m, the miss can reach 10 m. The aim of the work is to develop algorithms for taking into account parallactic errors that arise in collimator sights based on a doublet lens or a thick single lens when calculating the position of the sighting line. The features of image formation in the sight and the sources of parallax are shown. Based on the theory of image formation in such optical systems, two options for eliminating sighting errors are proposed. The first option involves the formation in the operator's field of view of an image of the instantaneous field of view of the optical system in the form of a circle with a diameter calculated using the developed method. According to the second option, the design of the sight should provide for the forced placement of the center of the operator's pupil in the calculated aberration-free point. Both solutions allow for the complete elimination of the parallactic sighting error.
