Benefits of reducing the construction time required for the construction by parallel works execution

The article considers methods of parallel execution of works and problems in their combination in construction based on the theory of queues. The article outlines the advantages of using a parallel method of execution. Attention is also given to uncertainties and risk reduction options in parallel work processes. The options of parallelization of non-rhythmic flows of work organization and optimization of aliquots of rhythmic parallel performances are considered. Three levels of business processes organization are identified, to be combined: macro-level, micro- and meso-level. Selected stages of the work, available for combining during the implementation of the construction project.

Abstract

The article considers methods of parallel execution of works and problems in their combination in construction based on the theory of queues. The article outlines the advantages of using a parallel method of execution. Attention is also given to uncertainties and risk reduction options in parallel work processes. The options of parallelization of non-rhythmic flows of work organization and optimization of aliquots of rhythmic parallel performances are considered. Three levels of business processes organization are identified, to be combined: macro-level, micro- and meso-level. Selected stages of the work, available for combining during the implementation of the construction project.
