DESIGNING AN OPTICAL AND MECHANICAL COLD-FIRING SYSTEM
The development of armaments in Ukraine is associated with the use of remotely controlled means of striking the enemy. Such means include, for example, unmanned aerial vehicles and combat robots (CRs) used in reconnaissance, engineering, combat and logistics tasks. Most of these remote-controlled UAVs are equipped with television and thermal imaging sights, television cameras and laser rangefinders to ensure the specified performance of their intended purpose. This raises the issue of building cold-loading devices that can be used to adjust the sights for different types of BRs with different bases between the sight and the weapon. The article deals with the construction of the most promising cold sighting system based on a collimator and mirror penta-reflectors. The analysis of possible errors of the system associated with defocusing and parallax error of the collimator assembly is carried out. The influence of the penta-reflector basing error on the position of the image plane of the collimator grid in relation to the aiming grid of the weapon guidance system is determined using the matrix method. Analytical relations have been obtained, which make it possible to propose methods for eliminating these errors by adjusting the cold-firing system using special equipment. The cold firing system considered in this article can be used for remotely controlled ballistic missiles operating in the visible and infrared ranges due to the use of mirror optics. It is also important that the system allows for the adjustment of the BR with a wide range of changes in the distance between the BR barrel and the sight axis. The work may be useful for specialists working in the field of design and operation of combat vehicles.
