Digital temperature control during concrete works: advantages and disadvantages
Key benefits of automation include minimizing the risks of process failures due to the ability of systems to predict potential failures and ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements. In particular, the use of digital temperature control at construction sites allows for real-time monitoring of concrete parameters, eliminating deviations from established standards. Digital temperature control during concreting involves the use of specialized sensors and software solutions to monitor the thermal characteristics of concrete at all stages - from laying to strength gain and operation of the structure. This approach not only improves the accuracy of process control, but also reduces the likelihood of defects caused by uneven heating or violation of the temperature regime. This study analyzes modern temperature monitoring systems for winter concreting of reinforced concrete structures, and summarizes the practical experience of their application. The relevance of the work is due to the importance of the temperature factor for the formation of the design strength and durability of concrete, especially at low temperatures.
