Bulk-interface engineering of a CoO<i>x</i>/SCN heterostructure for synergistically enhanced photocatalytic degradation of the imidacloprid insecticide
A camellia-like CoO<i>x</i>/SCN heterostructure with maximized interfacial adsorption energy exhibits an unprecedented 19.1-fold activity enhancement for light-driven imidacloprid degradation compared to bulk CN, and maintains exceptional stability over multiple reaction cycles. This is attributed to the coordination bond Co-N-C as an "electron bridge" facilitating charge transport across the interface.
