Clinical cases of treatment of an open eyeball injury in a corneal puncture wound using platelet-riched autoplasma

Purpose. To evaluate the effect of surgical treatment of a penetration eye injury using platelet-riched plasma. Methods. Three patients with an open-globe corneal wound were operated. Corneal wound sealing was performed in a seamless manner, by applying platelet-riched autoplasm and application of the soft contact lens. Results. Surgery was performed without the development of surgical complications. The postoperative period was smooth. The corneal wound was sealed in all cases. Conclusion The technology of adapting the edges of a small corneal wound using plateletrich plasma application and a bandage soft contact lens is a safe, effective and cost-effective way to achieve adaptation and sealing of the wound. Key words: open eyeball injury injury, cornea, platelet-riched plasma
