Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Gemcitabine Combined with Oxaliplatin in the Treatment of Pancreatic Cancer
(P Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of gemcitabine combined with oxaliplatin (GEMOX regimen) in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Methods: Eighty patients with pancreatic cancer admitted to a tertiary hospital from January 2022 to December 2024 were randomly assigned to a control group (gemcitabine monotherapy) and an observation group (GEMOX regimen), with 40 cases in each group. Objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), median overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and adverse reaction rates were compared between the two groups. Results: The ORR (35.0% vs. 17.5%) and DCR (72.5% vs. 50.0%) in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The observation group showed significantly prolonged median OS (9.8 months vs. 7.2 months) and PFS (6.5 months vs. 4.1 months) (P < 0.05). The main adverse reactions in both groups were myelosuppression and neurotoxicity. The incidence of grade III~IV neutropenia was higher in the observation group (27.5% vs. 15.0%, P < 0.05), but the overall safety profile was manageable. Conclusion: The GEMOX regimen significantly improves survival outcomes in pancreatic cancer patients with tolerable adverse reactions, demonstrating valuable clinical applicability.
