Trophies design in light of philosophical thinking and universal design principles
Each type of product has a unique design characteristic that distinguishes it from others. This distinction lies in how the product is conceptually designed; the needs it aims to fulfill, the target audience, and other factors that determine design considerations. Trophies design is considered as independent field of design, which required research to support the designer with some helpful inputs. This research choses philosophical thinking as a guiding approach for the designer. In order to support philosophical thinking with tools that enhance the design outputs; universal design was selected, specifically, some of its principles, that were more suitable to be employed with philosophical thinking for trophy designing. The research problem consists in determining how can the designer benefit from philosophical thinking and universal design principles in designing meaningful and creative trophies. The Objective of the research is Clarifying the effective role of implementing philosophical thinking and some principles of universal design in designing meaningful and creative trophies. This aims to highlight the significance of the research: Making trophies design process easier by utilizing philosophical thinking and some principles of universal design by Integrating descriptive, analytical, deductive method. The research aimed to prove the hypotheses: Philosophical thinking can improve the perception and appreciation of trophies design. Using universal design principles leads to the formulation of specifications and standards for trophies design refinement. Some trophies were analyzed to proof the research inputs. Moreover, some trophies designed by students were presented to formulate the results and recommendations at the end of the research.
