Bioenergy from Agricultural Waste: Circular Economy Approaches for Rural Sustainability

Abstract: The increasing urgency of energy security and rural sustainability necessitates innovative solutions grounded in the circular economy. This study investigates the viability of converting agricultural waste into bioenergy using circular economy principles to promote sustainable rural development. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, integrating field data, regression-based yield analysis, and predictive modeling. Findings show that bioenergy conversion from rice husks, sugarcane bagasse, and crop residues can contribute significantly to rural electrification and income diversification. Regression analysis highlights strong correlations between biomass availability and seasonal crop cycles. This research provides a framework for region-specific bioenergy potential mapping and emphasizes the role of decentralized systems in achieving rural resilience. Keywords: Bioenergy, Agricultural Waste, Circular Economy, Rural Sustainability, Biomass Conversion, Regression Analysis, Decentralized Energy
