DEVELOPMENT OF AN ALGORITHM FOR VERIFICATION OF VOLTAGE CONTROL AND PROTECTION CIRCUITS
Relevance Russian companies, having lost access to foreign technical support, are forced to disassemble and develop algorithms for checking equipment protections on their own. This article demonstrates a practical example of research and development of an algorithm for checking protections (minimum and maximum voltage) of the control board of a variable frequency drive of a pump unit. This example shows how engineers can ensure safe operation of equipment in the absence of factory documentation. Aim of research To investigate and develop an algorithm for checking the minimum and maximum voltage protection of the control board of the automatic regulation device on the basis of converter-transformer equipment for the frequency-controlled electric drive of the pump unit of foreign production. Research methods For the operation of the minimum and maximum voltage protection circuit for the busbar section, analyses have been carried out for three modes of operation: no load, light load and high load. The description of each mode shows how the comparators react to voltage changes in the current limiting resistor circuit. Results An algorithm has been developed to test the voltage monitoring and protection circuit of the control board of the automatic regulation device used in the frequency-controlled electric drive of pump units with converter-transformer equipment. The algorithm analyses the logic levels of output signals of comparators responsible for the start, stop and protection activation of the device. The proposed methodology allows to promptly diagnose faults and ensure stable operation of critical equipment, especially under conditions of limited service support.
