APPLICATION OF SWEEP FREQUENCY RESPONSE ANALYSIS METHOD FOR DETECTING WINDING DEFORMATION OF POWER TRANSFORMERS WITHOUT OPENING THE TANK
Relevance The current state of electrical equipment shows a high degree of wear and tear. The investment of capital expenditures for purchase of new one is unfeasible. Therefore, actualization of timely diagnostics of power transformers to determine the current state and defects, the elimination of which will increase the service life of transformers is relevant. To carry out such a study, the Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) method is considered within the framework of the article. The results of diagnostics by SFRA method allow to get the conclusion about decision making in carrying out or absence of complex diagnostic examination that will lead to reduction of expenses for repair measures. Aim of research The purpose of the work is to determine the dangerous deformations in windings to decide on the need for extended testing and measurements. Research methods To achieve the set goal the method of frequency characteristics analysis was applied. Results The use of this method and the frequency response measurement is currently not mandatory for factory or acceptance tests, overhauls and after short-circuit currents have passed through the transformer windings. At the same time, the normative documentation on frequency response measurement reflects only a theoretical description. For distribution and increase of efficiency of application of the given method it is necessary to take frequency characteristics of factory tests with application of characteristics to factory documentation of the transformer taking into account features of type, capacities and class of voltages, also to make the instruction on processing and normalization of the received results.
