MATHEMATICAL MODELING AND COMPUTER SIMULATION OF A THREE-PHASE TWO-WINDING POWER TRANSFORMER IN A STATIONARY TWO-PHASE COORDINATE SYSTEM
Relevance Mathematical models of electrical devices are employed in the design of automatic control systems (ACS) for electrical systems. The efficiency of the ACS depends on the accuracy of these mathematical models. In modern practice, mathematical models implemented in stationary or rotating two-phase coordinate systems are widely adopted for ACS electrical machines design. However, power transformers are represented by oversimplified models or neglected, thereby reducing the reliability of ACS. In this article this gap is addressed. Aim of research The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical model of a three-phase dual-winding power transformer in a stationary two-phase coordinate system. Research methods In this article automatic control theory, linear electrical circuit theory, computer simulation methods are used. Results A mathematical model of a three-phase two-winding power transformer with a Y0/Δ-11 winding connection in a two-phase fixed coordinate system has been developed. A block diagram was design based on the developed mathematical model. Current and voltage waveforms in the transformer windings under various operating conditions are yielded as a result of computer simulation of the block diagram.
