METHODS OF OBTAINING QUADRATIC NONLINEARITY AND RADIO-PHOTONIC CONVERSION DEVICE
Relevance The research is devoted to the analysis of quadratic nonlinear optical materials and structures suitable for generating difference frequencies in the terahertz and subterahertz ranges. The use of such materials opens up new possibilities for the creation of efficient optical-radio converters. Aim of research To propose the principle for constructing a nonlinear optical-radio converter based on an optical focon. Research methods The mathematical model of the process of propagation and nonlinear interaction of waves inside the focon is used. Results The article analyzes materials with quadratic nonlinear optical properties. A principle for creating a nonlinear optical-radio converter using an optical focon has been developed.
