Genetic Studies of Blood and Oral Fluid in Women with BRCA Mutation, Breast Cancer Patients, and their Relatives
In examined individuals with a family history of the disease, but without clinical signs of breast cancer, the results of screening saliva revealed tumor-associated mutations in the BRCA1 genes, which may provide information for early detection, assessment of the molecular heterogeneity of the disease, and its prognosis. The combination of parallel studies of saliva and blood may form the basis for the development of effective tactics of screening and early diagnostic studies using non-invasive methods.
