Diagnosis and treatment of post-traumatic arteriovenous fistulas of the upper and lower extremities
Each case of posttraumatic arteriovenous fistula has an individual approach to treatment. Surgical decision-making depends on such factors as the duration of AVF, diameter, localization, level of arterialization of venous blood flow, severity of changes in the walls of the affected arteries and veins. All posttraumatic arteriovenous fistulas should be treated surgically in a specialized vascular center with all modern technologies.
