La inteligencia artificial en el aprendizaje de las aplicaciones de la derivada

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a revolutionary technological advancement with a significant impact on education, offering ample opportunities to facilitate the teaching and learning process, especially in areas such as mathematics. In particular, its implementation in the teaching of a fundamental subject such as derivatives and their applications represents an innovative strategy in teacher training. The general objective of this research was to analyze the influence of the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the teaching-learning process of derivation and its applications, in students of the Mathematical Analysis I course of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Oriented to Secondary Education in the period 2024-2023. This research is framed within the mixed route of exploratory-descriptive approach, with the application of didactic sequences using AI, technological resources, and pedagogical strategies. For the qualitative study, students were organized into a focus group. On the other hand, for the quantitative variable, student satisfaction, a Likert-type questionnaire was applied. The results show that students' satisfaction with the teaching innovation is greatest in the following dimensions: clarity in content presentation, integration of theory and practice in real-life situations, and constant feedback, which were key to learning effectiveness. Future teachers positively value the innovation using AI, expressing through their narratives its ability to personalize learning and improve understanding and mastery of the derivative, as well as their commitment to replicating it with their future students. It was concluded that the use of AI as a tutor, in combination with teaching resources such as Khan Academy, Desmos, and GeoGebra, and with teacher-led pedagogical strategies designed to plan the teaching and learning of derivatives and their applications, yielded a high level of satisfaction and a positive impact on student teachers' motivation. However, students believe it is essential to address the ethical and methodological challenges related to AI to ensure the responsible and effective use of these technologies in educational settings.
