Research on Anti-Galloping Robot and Mitigation Strategies for High-Voltage Transmission Lines

To mitigate the severe hazards caused by transmission line galloping, this study proposes an anti-galloping robot based on online power harvesting technology. The robot employs accelerometers to monitor galloping dynamics and adopts an adaptive model predictive control (AMPC) strategy. A frequency-domain tuning method is developed to lock the dominant energy frequency, while damping adjustment reconstructs energy dissipation pathways, enabling directional transfer and attenuation of broadband vibration energy for optimal galloping suppression. Simulation experiments conducted on the ANSYS platform demonstrate that under a wind speed of 10 m/s, the robot reduces vertical amplitude peaks by 60%, outperforming conventional devices by 20%. This research provides a mobile solution for dynamic transmission line protection.
