Research on PMLSM Speed Control Based on Optimal Preview Repetitive Control

For the high control performance requirements of Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors (PMLSM), a continuous-time optimal preview repetitive control (OPRC) method is proposed. An augmented system is constructed using the state vector, its derivatives, and tracking error derivatives. A new performance criterion is defined using a quadratic performance index. A linear quadratic regulator (LQR) is designed based on optimal control theory, leading to an optimal preview repetitive controller that includes state integral feedback, error integral, preview feedforward, and repetitive control. The numerical simulation of the OPRC-PMLSM speed control system is conducted using the Matlab/Simulink simulation module. simulation results show that the OPRC control offers fast response, small overshoot.
