Optimization of Vibration and Noise in Permanent Magnet Brushed DC Motors
Aiming at meeting the comfort requirements of vehicles, it is also necessary to make the electric motor as quiet as possible while ensuring its electromagnetic performance. This paper focuses on the torque output capability and vibration and noise issues of permanent magnet brushed DC motors (PMDCM) used for pedals. The paper conducts research on PMDCM with different eccentric structures of permanent magnets. Firstly, the radial electromagnetic excitation force of PMDCM is analyzed theoretically; then, electromagnetic simulation analysis and vibration and noise simulation analysis are carried out for PMDCM with different eccentric distances. The research results show that increasing the eccentric distance of the permanent magnet can decrease the radial electromagnetic exciting force of the motor. And the vibration and noise can be improved. However, it will correspondingly reduce the torque output capability. Therefore, in the design stage of PMDCM, the eccentric distance of the permanent magnet should be reasonably selected.
