Improved Adaptive Sliding ModeSpeed Control for PMSM Drive Based on Improved Sliding Mode Oserver

An adaptive sliding mode control method based on a new reaching law (IASMC) of improved sliding mode observer is proposed. The hyper spiral algorithm and first-order linear term are added to the traditional sliding mode observer, which speeds up the convergence speed of speed estimation and greatly reduces the estimation error. At the same time, the method effectively reduces the fluctuation of back EMF and shortens the time required for the system trajectory to reach the sliding mode surface. The adaptive sliding mode control with a new approach law effectively solves the problem of overshoot of speed response that may occur in the process of speed jump. Thus, the robustness and dynamic performance of the system are improved. The experimental results show that this method can significantly optimize the control performance in practical application, and provide an efficient and reliable solution for the control problem of high-speed and high-precision system.
