MUSIC Algorithm for Amplitude-Based Array Processing in Multi-Channel Forward Scatter Radar

This paper explores the use of the MUSIC algorithm in Multi-Channel For-ward Scatter Radar (MC-FSR) to address the limitations of space-domain processing using conventional beamforming. We adapt the MUSIC algorithm for MC-FSR signal model, which is solely based on the amplitudes of the received signals. Leveraging spatial smoothing techniques, the proposed method improves angular resolution and successfully detects both stationary and moving targets in constrained scenarios with limited array size. Simulation results highlight the superiority of the approach in resolving multi-target environments and mitigating signal correlation issues, providing a robust solution for MC-FSR systems.
