Variable Angle Transmission Ratio Control of Vehicle By-Wire Steering Based on EHA
To enhance the steering stability of steer-by-wire vehicles, the vehicle response during steering was studied, and the vehicle response was analyzed under different speed domains and different steering wheel input frequencies to explore the relationship between directional disc position and transmission ratio increment. Finally, the fuzzy controller of transmission ratio is designed based on multi-factor analysis, and the simulation research is carried out through typical working conditions. The findings indicate that, when subjected to an angular step test, the strategy achieves a significantly higher front wheel angle response compared to the mechanical steering system at low speeds. Moreover, this response diminishes progressively as the speed rises, aligning with the design specifications for the ideal transmission ratio. At the same time, in the double-shift test condition, the lateral inclination angle of the vehicle's center of mass. under this strategy is smaller and more gentle, which helps to maintain the vehicle's driving trajectory and improves the vehicle's maneuverability.
