Target Velocity Vector Estimation From Single Platform Dualchannel Squinted Synthetic Aperture Radar
This paper proposes a new technique to estimate the full velocity vector of moving targets detected inside Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. The proposed approach exploits both Doppler rate and interferometric phase measurements obtained by a singleplatform, dual-channel sensor operating in squinted mode. Both analytical and simulated performance analysis is provided to characterize the achievable estimation accuracy as a function of Signal-to-Noise ratio and squint angle.
