The Keystone Transform Impact on Gold, CPM and OFDM Based Radar
The Keystone transform (KT) is a method used to correct the range migration of moving targets without a priori knowledge of their speed. This method is based on time rescaling through interpolation of the pulse compression output in the spectral domain, to remove the component that causes range migration. Hence, the spectral content may impact the KT output. This paper analyzes the effect of four different waveforms (chirp, Gold, CPM, OFDM) on target detection performance. The simulation results show that the sidelobes level increases after the KT depending on the used waveform.
