A Study on the Improvement of Inverter Output Voltage Waveform Using Space Voltage Vector Modulation

This paper investigates the improvement of Space Voltage Vector Modulation to enhance the efficiency and power quality of three-phase inverters in motor drive systems. The paper first introduces the basic principles of Space Voltage Vector Modulation and analyzes its shortcomings, including harmonic components and the asymmetry of the output voltage waveform. An optimization method based on area subdivision is then proposed, enhancing the voltage waveform's symmetry and significantly reducing harmonic components by subdividing the sectors and adjusting the switching sequence. Finally, the method is verified through MATLAB/Simulink simulations, and the results indicate that the optimization technique reduces harmonic content and stabilizes the output voltage waveform. This improvement effectively enhances the control accuracy, dynamic response, and robustness of the inverter.
