Multiobjective Optimization Design of Three-Phase Induction Motor Multilayer Unequal Turns Winding Using NSGA-II

In order to modify the three-phase induction motor with high efficiency, the stator winding is modified using the theory of multilayer unequal turns winding. The NSGA-II algorithm is utilized for global optimization for the multi-objective, non-linear, multi-constraint problem of stator winding design and the problem of ideal turns ratio as a fractional ratio in the design of multi-layer unequal turns winding. Finally, the performance of the motor is compared before and after optimization through finite element simulation, and the results show that the quality of air-gap magnetomotive force of the motor is improved after optimization, the efficiency is improved while the copper consumption is reduced, the electrical and magnetic loads are reduced, and the overload capacity is improved, which proves the feasibility of the application of the multi-objective optimization algorithm to the optimization of multi-layer unequal-turn windings.
