Design Optimization of PMBLDCM for Vibroacoustic Performance Improvement
Aiming at the vibration and noise issues of permanent magnet brushless DC motors used in small conveyors, this paper analyzes the generation mechanism of vibration and noise of the motor, and proposes to optimize it by using the method of opening auxiliary slots on stator teeth and changing the thickness of the permanent magnets at the edge. Simulation analysis was conducted on the prototype and the optimized model, and the cogging torque and radial gap flux density of the two structures were compared and analyzed respectively. Then, harmonic response analysis was carried out on the motor to compare and analyze the vibration acceleration on the stator surface. The research results show that by using the method of opening auxiliary slots on stator teeth and changing the thickness of the permanent magnets at the edge, the vibration and noise of PMBLDCM can be optimized.
