Integration of 3D Printing Technology and UAV Navigation System
This paper aims to explore the integration of 3D printing technology with UAV navigation systems and proposes a framework for a UAV-based 3D printing path planning system. The process involves slicing and discretizing a 3D model via a parametric CAD platform, generating slice data represented by Cartesian coordinate points. This slice data is then converted into a format recognizable by UAV path-planning algorithms, enabling UAVs to follow predetermined paths accurately and complete the 3D printing task effectively. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the slicing function developed in this study can accurately segment various complex 3D models, After the slicing data is input into the UAV navigation system, it can effectively perform path planning and control the UAV to fly along the predetermined task path. Furthermore, the choice of slicing parameters significantly influences the quality of slicing results and the efficiency of UAV operations. Proper configuration of these parameters can ensure high-quality slicing while optimizing computational time and task execution efficiency. This research realizes the complete workflow from 3D model input to UAV -based 3D printing path planning, establishing a foundation for the application of UAV -based 3D printing technology in complex scenarios.
