Hledání vztahu mezi lidským a ne-lidským. Posthumanistické tendence v performativní praxi

This study offers a brief insight into posthumanist thinking in performative practice. It deals specifically with the relationship between human and non-human entities not only within the performative event itself, but also in the process of production. It names a few examples of how artists deal with this relationship, later called copresence. Various experimental projects, especially from abroad, are created every year. They introduce in accordance with posthumanist thinking new creative approaches to the content, form and production of the piece. Even though posthumanist tendencies began to take hold in the Czech Republic with a considerable delay, the cultural space is already filled with projects and debates on this topic. Nevertheless, the posthumanist performative practice, together with its written reflection, stands at the beginning of this groundbreaking thinking in this territory. The aim of the paper is to introduce readers to the very phenomenon of looking at art through the prism of posthumanist thinking. Key theories will be named. They address posthumanism primarily through the lens of other scientific fields, yet are frequently referenced in art. The core of the study lies in the analysis of the possibilities offered by a focus on the copresence of human and non-human entities, and the ways in which these possibilities are considered by artists in their practice.
