EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTS OF BIOPHILIC DESIGN ON CONFERENCE ROOM COMMUNICATION
This study aimed to evaluate the intellectual productivity focusing on group communication, by introducing biophilic design into an office. As a result of Indoor Restorative Characteristic Scale and the subjective evaluation on the ease of work, the meeting room with biophilic design was highly rated compared to the meeting room without biophilic design. For group communication, groups with longer utterances had better performance, but the effect of biophilic design was not clear. It was assumed that people who prefer plants have high subjective evaluation and thus achieved high performance, while people who do not like plants showed the opposite effect.
