DEHP ADSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS ONTO SETTLED DUST IN INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS BASED ON AEROSOL DYNAMICS

This study investigated SVOC adsorption characteristics on settled dust in indoor environments, focusing on coarse particles through experiments in the chamber and the real room. The results show that DEHP adsorption on suspended particles reaches equilibrium not only for fine particles but also for coarse particles under general ventilation conditions. The proposed model, which predicts adsorption by integrating adsorption in suspension and deposition, showed qualitative validity and emphasized the importance of considering adsorption in both suspension and deposition. Real-room experiments confirmed the model’s applicability to actual house dust, validating its use for both fine and coarse particles.

The proposed model, which predicts adsorption by integrating adsorption in suspension and deposition, showed qualitative validity and emphasized the importance of considering adsorption in both suspension and deposition.
