I Encuentro de Innovación Docente en la Universidad Nacional del Altiplano: Sistematización de Experiencias Pedagógicas para una Educación Superior
The National University of Altiplano in Puno (UNAP), through its Academic Vice-Rectorate and the Office of Academic Management, organized the "First Exchange of Innovative Teaching Experiences" in 2024. This event served as a platform to disseminate and consolidate emerging pedagogical practices within the Andean university context. The initiative aimed to identify, evaluate, and systematize rigorous educational approaches that integrate innovation with cultural relevance. Ten selected experiences—characterized by qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method rigor—were adapted to the editorial standards of the Journal of Humanities Titicaca (JHT), shaping this special issue. Key methodologies featured include Project-Based Learning (PBL), neurodidactic strategies, formative assessment, and educational technologies, all applied from an intercultural perspective. The presented studies—encompassing classroom case studies, pedagogical interventions, and systematized reflections—demonstrate significant impacts on the development of scientific, metacognitive, and socio-emotional competencies, as well as on academic performance and university-community engagement. The findings reaffirm that integrating active learning methodologies with local knowledge fosters a more critical, inclusive, and sustainable higher education system, positioning Andean pedagogies as valuable contributions to global educational discourse.
