A Study on the Development of a Prompt-Based Instructional Model Grounded in Question Literacy : Focusing on Strategies for Utilizing Generative AI in Junior College Design Education

This study aims to develop a prompt-based instructional model grounded in question literacy in response to the evolving design education landscape shaped by generative AI. Recognizing the critical role of prompt quality in influencing creativity and outcome fidelity, the study conceptualizes question design as a core competency. The proposed model integrates theoretical analysis, step-by-step strategies, instructional cases in junior colleges, evaluation rubrics, and ethical considerations. Findings indicate that prompt writing embodies higher-order thinking, integrating problem definition, contextual analysis, creativity, reflection, and ethics, and contributes meaningfully to enhancing learners’ creative and problem-solving capabilities.
