Recent Developments in Flavor Physics, the Unitary Triangle 2 Fit, Anomalies and All That
Flavor physics represents one of the main fields of investigation to answer some fundamental questions like the baryon anti-baryon asymmetry or the presence of dark matter in our universe. Precision studies of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix offer a very important testing ground of the Standard Model and, in the light of recent theoretical progress and experimental measurements, the status of the Unitarity Triangle is a fundamental tool to uncover physics beyond the Standard Model. The results of the most recent global fits performed by the \utfit \, Collaboration, including all the up-to-date experimental and theoretical inputs are reported and stringent constraints on New Physics from the generalized $|\Delta F| = 2$ effective Hamiltonian are presented.
