The Most Important Personalities of the First Council of Nicaea and its Course

The study is published on the 1,700 anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council. The author introduces the reader to the issue on ahistorical and theological level. It presents the nine main protagonists and attempts to reconstruct the proceedings in the council hall. This first study is apreparation for the following one, in which the author wants to deal with problems connected with the Council’s creed and its relevance for today’s Christians.
