Abstract

Within the new media system, there is an increasing tendency towards internet-based content through social networking sites and digital platforms. There is a rapid change in the fundamental relationship between the accounts of users representing the network society and data security. Supervisory mechanisms are being developed to solve data security scandals, election manipulations, prevention of cybercrime and violence, processing of user data and problems arising in digital services, especially in the field of privacy. The European Union and its affiliated commissions have recently introduced new legal regulations to control the field of artificial intelligence, while activating practices such as the Digital Contract, Social Media Regulation and Disinformation Law in order to mutually protect the boundaries of the connection between the end user and the platform providing social networking services at the legal level. This study analyzes the legal control of the internet media through comparative examples from the EU, the USA and Turkey in order to control online content and the necessity of control through content analysis.
