A IMPORTÂNCIA DO TOQUE TERAPÊUTICO E DA ESCUTA ATIVA NA FISIOTERAPIA ONCOLÓGICA

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVES: This work aims to analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic touch and active listening in qualifying physiotherapeutic care in cancer patients, especially in palliative care contexts METHODS: It is based on an integrative systematic review of the literature, with searches carried out in the PubMed, SciELO, BVS, PEDro and Google Scholar databases, including studies published between 2013 and 2025. RESULTS: The results showed that therapeutic touch contributes to pain relief and anxiety reduction, while active listening strengthens the therapeutic bond and improves treatment adherence. Both practices emerge as effective humanization tools in comprehensive care. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that touch and listening are relevant clinical resources in oncology physiotherapy, promoting not only physical benefits, but also emotional and relational ones. However, the literature points to the need for more studies with methodological rigor to consolidate this evidence in physiotherapy practice. KEYWORDS: therapeutic touch; active listening; oncological physiotherapy; palliative care;
