GCC countries: strengthening their positions in the global economy and trade
The article shows that the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf (GCC) are not only stepping up their efforts to develop and diversify their national economies and their accelerated and sustainable evolution in line with leading global trends (digitalization, greening, inclusivity), but are also striving to increase their effective presence in the global economy and trade as a market based on the development of cooperation at the regional (integration component) and non-regional levels, including with Russia and China, the EU countries and other states and state associations of the world, including BRICS, SCO, EAEU. The article proves that the volume and effectiveness of the efforts of the Arab countries of the GCC at the global level is growing, as well as the authority of the association as a whole. The article substantiates that the growth of interaction at the global level is both the cause and consequence of the diversification reforms that the GCC states have been implementing for a number of years. However, the author notes the existence of problems and contradictions in the process of international cooperation between the GCC countries, which include both internal problems of the member states of the association, including internal contradictions, and the growth of global threats in various directions that destabilize both these countries and the region as a whole, as well as their actions on the world market. This requires additional efforts by both the GCC and their regional and non-regional partners to improve the global situation and mitigate existing threats.
