Research and simulation analysis of automatic emergency braking strategy based on fuzzy control

The automatic emergency braking system (AEB), as an important component of vehicle safety technology, can automatically activate the brakes when potential collision risks are detected, thereby reducing the likelihood or severity of accidents. This study proposes an automatic emergency braking control algorithm based on fuzzy control, and uses PreScan and MATLAB/Simulink for joint simulation. The results show that obstacle avoidance can be achieved well in all three operating conditions, and the braking deceleration rate remains below -5m/s3, far below the maximum acceleration rate limit of -10m/s3 that ensures driving comfort. The automatic emergency braking strategy based on fuzzy control proposed in this study can better improve comfort while ensuring safety.
