Design of ridge gap waveguide slot antenna array on quadrangular platform
The article first analyzes the transmission characteristics of the ridge gap waveguide transmission line structure on the curved surface through CST simulation, and tests the influence of various structural parameters on the transmission characteristics. On this basis, the 8*10 slot array antenna operating in the range of 58 to 62GHz, which is excited by the ridge gap waveguide structure with one-to-eight unequal power dividers at the bottom, is studied. Compared with the equal power divider feed, the side lobes of the far-field pattern can be reduced to a certain extent. Finally, a feasible application scenario is proposed: a multi-directional antenna distributed on a quadrangular platform. The entire antenna is fed by a ridge gap waveguide with one-to-four equal power dividers distributed on an octagonal prism. This antenna can change the pitch angle without losing performance. In the CST simulation test, the total gain is greater than 17dB.
