Radar array-based reflection imaging for cigarette detection
At present, tobacco inspections use metal detection combined with manual recognition methods for detection, which have low accuracy and a risk of illegal unpacking. Millimeter waves, operating within a wavelength range of 1 mm to 10 mm, possess the unique ability to penetrate various non-metallic materials, making them highly versatile in applications such as imaging and sensing. This includes their capability to pass through commonly used materials in everyday products, such as the paperboard and plastic films that form the outer layers of cigarette packaging boxes, without compromising the structural integrity or quality of the materials being examined. This article proposes a microwave image recognition device for tobacco detection, which can recognize each pack of cigarettes and provide inspection personnel with prepared judgment standards. The article mainly introduces the hardware principle of the device and demonstrates the image recognition effect of the device; The next step is to optimize the device's image and further improve the accuracy of tobacco recognition.
