Research progress of carbon nanotube-based flexible devices for microwave absorption

The increasing complexity of the electromagnetic (EM) environment brings growing demand to EM interference protection, as well as creates urgent need for high-performance flexible EM absorbing devices. Carbon nanotube (CNT)-based composites, known for their conductivity, mechanical behavior, and corrosion resistance, have garnered significant interest. This review provides a summary of the latest research advancements in CNT-based flexible EM absorbing devices, encompassing dielectric loss and multiple losses, and investigates the influence of structure on their supplementary attenuation effects. Additionally, it discusses the limitations to CNT-based devices, such as their limited absorption bandwidth and the uncertainty loss mechanisms of the material components. This review specifically examines the current research landscape of CNT-based EM absorbing devices, offering valuable insights into their performance and potential applications within the realm of CNT-based flexible devices.
