Optimization design of wet grinding rotor based on DEM-CFD simulation

In order to study the influence of the structure and arrangement of the rod pin rotor on the grinding efficiency and energy consumption of the wet grinder, the DEM-CFD coupling method is used to simulate and analyze the grinding process of different rod pin diameters, rod pin heights and number of rod pins. The research results show that: the higher the speed, the lower the collision energy of the media, and the grinding efficiency decreases; the larger the diameter of the rod pin, the higher the height of the rod pin, and the more the number of rod pins, the greater the energy consumption of the grinding machine; the total collision energy of the grinding media decrease with the increase of the diameter of the rod pin, increases with the increase of the height of the rod pin, and decreases with the increase of the number of rod pins.
