ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTIVE USE OF RAM IN SINGLE-CHANNEL AND DUAL-CHANNEL OPERATION MODES

The article is devoted to the analysis of the effective use of RAM in single-channel and dual-channel operating modes. The fundamental principles of RAM operation in modern computing systems are considered, as well as differences in performance when using one and two memory channels. Special attention is paid to the effect of memory configuration on data processing speed and overall system performance. The article presents the results of experimental studies demonstrating the advantages of dual-channel mode in solving of the tasks requiring high bandwidth and fast data access. Possible limitations and problems associated with the implementation of dual-channel configurations, such as increased configuration complexity and possible mismatch of memory channels in terms of speed, are also analyzed. The scientific novelty of the work consists in a detailed comparison of the performance of single-channel and dual-channel modes, taking into account current trends in hardware configurations, as well as the proposal of new approaches to optimize memory usage in various computing systems. The results can be useful for software developers and engineers involved in the design of high-performance computing systems.
