The distance and height settings of antennas in the site calibration of whole aircraft HIRF test research
The whole aircraft high-intensity radiated field (HIRF) test plays a crucial role in the airworthiness certification of aircraft. During the whole aircraft HIRF test, precise site calibration is essential to ensure the reliability of the data and verify the aircraft's performance in an electromagnetic interference environment. This paper studies the calibration process of the whole aircraft HIRF test in the frequency range of 100 MHz to 1 GHz. By analysing the test data, the influence of the distance between the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna, as well as the height of the receiving antenna on the received field strength is investigated. The results show that under vertical polarization, the height of the receiving antenna has little effect on the received field strength, and the variation trend of the received field strength with frequency is consistent. In contrast, under horizontal polarization, when the receiving antenna is far from the transmitting antenna, the height of the receiving antenna has a significant impact on the received field strength. By continuously changing the height of the receiving antenna within a certain range, the curve of the received field strength can be smoothed.
